Vyla Lejeune Rollins is an American by birth and is an Organisational Psychologist who has worked as an Organisational Effectiveness consultant in Europe for over 20 years. Vyla’s area of expertise is in working with organisations to systemically diagnose organisational performance and implement organisational/ development interventions at individual, group, board and organisational levels.   

 

Vyla started her career as an HR generalist, but in terms of her more traditional Organisational Development work, has in-depth experience in the area of executive coaching, including developing and delivering group/individual based performance/change initiatives, team effectiveness initiatives, applied leadership development, and strategy facilitation at senior executive and board level. She also has experience in providing specialist inputs in areas such as instructional design, action learning interventions, competency development, assessment centres, psychometric assessment, performance management, business process re-engineering, employee attitude research, and change management initiatives.  

 

Vyla has built up her experience working as a consultant with a range of UK, European and US organisations such as Bank of America, Unisys, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Scholastic Inc, Catholic Healthcare Systems, Glaxo/Wellcome, UBS Warburg, Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bombay), and Shell Exploration and Production (Nigeria). In the UK she has worked with organisations such as Comet, Boots, Kingfisher plc, HMRC, British Airports Authority – Heathrow Airport Limited, Railtrack, Thomas Cook, MFI, British Telecom, The British Broadcasting Corporation, BP, Hasbro UK, Barclays Bank, Lloyds TSB, Merrill Lynch, Jones Lang LaSalle, Prudential, Shell Exploration and Production (Scotland) New Look Retailers, NHS Executive, National Grid, Royal Mail and Whitbread plc.

 

In her career Vyla has held positions such as a Client Partner at Evolve Partners LLP, Director of Consulting at Corven Consulting Ltd, Head of the London Change Practice for Sibson & Company, an International Human Capital consulting firm that purchased Alexander, an UK executive coaching firm, Senior Consultant with Kinsley Lord/Towers Perrin, Head of Organisation Consulting for KPMG Career Consulting in London, and Director at Corporate Psychologists International, a specialist firm of Business Psychologists in London.

 

In 1996, she was one of three individuals commended for consultancy work undertaken with the Board of the Institute of Management Consultants, working with them to develop their strategy, vision and subsequent organisational change programme.

 

She has also had an interest and experience in utilising applied psychological techniques in the area of Project Management. In the early 1990’s she was awarded the Currie and Brown/ Association of Project Managers prize in London for an article entitled “Project Management: A Perspective on a Behavioural Based Approach”, which was designated as a topic of general interest in the field of Project Management.

 

Vyla has had the privilege of being invited to work with Harvard professor Ronald Heifitz, author of 'Leadership without Easy Answers' and co-author of 'Leadership on the Line', to collaborate on a ground breaking leadership initiative for a UK telecommunications firm. She was also invited to act as a facilitator on Harvard Kennedy School's 2006 'Art and Practice of Leadership Development' programme.


She also is part of the exclusive Executive Coaching community that supports London Business School's Executive Education Programmes as well as being a Freelance Programme Director/Learning Facilitator for bespoke educational programmes commissioned by organisations from London Business School's Centre for Management Development.

 

Vyla received her BA in Industrial/ Organisational Psychology from Occidental College in the US and her M.Phil. in Organisational Behaviour from Bath University in England. She also holds a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is Level A & B certified, in the area of administration and use of psychometric questionnaires, ability testing, and behavioural based profiling.
